Lifting Slings Get the Job Done

When you need to hoist an object, lifting slings are a good choice for the job.  They can be effectively deployed for elevating many types of items including those for the oil and gas, mining, engineering construction and railway industries.

Wire rope slings are one of the older types of slings. Technological innovations have made them stronger and stronger. They are available in different weaves and can lift as much as 1,000 tonne. If a deft touch is required for lifting more fragile objects, a flat woven wire sling may be a good option. When you need to avoid kinking in the line, consider using a wire rope sling.

Synthetic slings come in many varieties including standard polyester, flat webbing and round slings.  They can accommodate lesser weights, and those up to several hundred tonnes. If you need added care for lifting valuable items, corner protectors and protection sleeve are good accessories to use with your sling.

Grade 80 and 100 chain slings are extremely durable and have substantial lifting capacity. They can be used in conjunction with links, locking hooks, connectors and shortening claws.  

Lifting slings are an efficient way to move heavy objects. There are a variety of kinds available including wire rope slings, synthetic slings, and grade 80 and 100 chain slings. The application will dictate the best types of sling to use.
